Your Stay With Us

Most procedures at Park Place Surgical Hospital are outpatient--patients are discharged same-day. After surgery, you will recover in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) and then move to a private recovery room. Your family will remain informed of your progress, and one visitor may join you.

Park Place Surgical Hospital does not have a cafeteria but offers a list of local restaurants provided at the nurse’s station. Visitors may find beverages located in our family dining room. A water fountain and restrooms are also located near this area.

Should You Stay Overnight

Patients will be served breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Snacks are offered between meals. Please inform the nurse if you have any special dietary needs. Park Place Surgical Hospital has an open visitation policy. All patient rooms are comfortable and private. One overnight guest (at least 16 years of age) may spend the night with you. A reclining sleeping chair is provided for your guest spending the night.

Each patient room is equipped with a communication system that enables patients to contact the nurses' station. Local phone calls can be made by dialing 9 + 1 and the local number. Family and friends may dial directly to patient rooms by dialing 769-46 and the last two digits of the room number.

Mail, flowers, or packages will be delivered to patient rooms. Deliveries after discharge will be forwarded to the patient's home.

Park Place Surgical Hospital provides security to ensure safety and peace of mind for our patients and their families. If you should experience any security concerns during your stay, please inform our staff immediately.

Going Home

Patients are discharged upon a written order from their physician. In most cases, all necessary information will be obtained and all financial arrangements will be completed prior to the time of discharge. Home instructions and any prescriptions which have been ordered will be provided at this time.
