Your Hospital Stay

You can trust the caring staff at Park Place Surgical Hospital to provide you and your family with personalized attention, compassion and the highest quality care. We understand that undergoing even a minor surgical procedure is a major concern for you – and that’s why we’re here to ensure that your hospital stay is as comfortable and convenient as possible. We are focused on your individual needs, because the well-being of every patient matters a great deal to us.

Some procedures at Park Place are outpatient – which means that you will be discharged from the hospital on the same day. After surgery, you’ll recover in the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU) and then be moved to a private recovery room. One visitor may join you during your recovery – and any other family members will be kept informed of your progress.

Although Park Place does not have a cafeteria, we offer a list of many wonderful restaurants at the nurses’ station and provide a dining room where your family can enjoy take-out or order from Waitr to have some delicious local cuisine delivered to you. Beverages are available in the dining room – and a water fountain and restrooms are located nearby for your convenience.

SHOULD YOU STAY OVERNIGHT

If an overnight stay is necessary, you will be taken to one of our comfortable, private patient rooms. One overnight guest (16 years or older) may stay with you, with a reclining sleeping chair provided for your guest in the room. In addition, Park Place has an open visitation policy so you may receive other visitors during your stay.

For your comfort and convenience, your room is equipped with a communication system that lets you contact the nurses’ station. You may also make local phone calls by dialing 9 + 1 and the local number. Your family and friends may call you by dialing 769-46 and the last two digits of your room number.

During your stay, you will be served breakfast, lunch and dinner – with snacks offered in between meals. If you have any special dietary needs, please inform the nurse. In addition, mail, flowers or packages will be delivered to your room and any deliveries received after discharge will be forwarded to your home.

At Park Place we pride ourselves on keeping you and your family safe, secure and comfortable. Your peace of mind is paramount to us – so please inform our staff immediately if you experience any security concerns.

GOING HOME

You will be discharged once our staff receives a written order from your physician. In most cases, all necessary information will be obtained and all financial arrangements completed prior to the time of discharge. Before discharge, you will be provided with any home care instructions or prescriptions that have been ordered by your physician.

When you choose Park Place Surgical Hospital, you’ll get the personal patient care you deserve as well as the high quality care that can only be found at a top-rated hospital.
