Dr. Jason A. Breaux, a third-generation surgeon, was born and raised in Lafayette. He is the oldest of four children of Dr. and Mrs. Edgar Paul Breaux III. Dr. Breaux graduated from St. Thomas More High School in 1993 and, graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1998 from University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a B.S. in Biology. Dr. Breaux attended LSU Medical School in New Orleans, graduating with an M.D. in 2003. He went on to complete General Surgery residency training in 2008 at the Ochsner clinic in New Orleans, also completing elective rotations at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and active in multiple professional medical societies, including the American Society of Breast Surgeons. With whom, he participated in the Mastery of Breast Surgery quality initiative. In addition to breast surgery and multidisciplinary care of breast cancer, Dr. Breauxï¿½s expertise in surgical oncology includes surgery for gastrointestinal, colorectal, hepatobiliary, endocrine, and skin cancers.
